First Halloween
Sammy had his first Halloween! I guess the first year has a first just about every day, but I'd still like to get excited about them. It will never be the first time ever again. Though I think next Fall we'll take him to a pumpkin patch. We just couldn't find the time this year.
Charity sent him the cutest little tiger outfit that was so soft and cozy and warm. He was adorable. We had two little Halloween parties. One was a cookie decorating disaster. Mostly the girls with older kids went, but I wanted some cookies too. Little crawlers and toddlers were wobbling
around with half pumpkins shapes in hand and/or mouth and orange icing all over their hands and faces and clothes and carpet and walls. Sammy mostly just watched. The other one was with all the tiny infants. Us moms just wanted to put our kids in cute outfits and eat food and talk about how cool our kids are. Check out Sammy holding hands with his buddy Chase. (Half the kids only made it about twenty minutes in their costumes)
It's good to get together with other moms and see what everyone else is doing with their babies and have some adult conversation. If I didn't I think I would permanently be talking babytalk.
Sammy's newest thing is sitting up. He loves getting up on his little bum and staring around from a new angle. He doesn't
quite
have the balance yet though. I left him without any support yesterday and he crashed over and his head made a loud thump when it hit the floor. I felt horrible. I guess we're both still learning--forever learning, I don't think I'll ever have it all figured out.
