Monterey

I know this may not be overly exciting to the vast majority of you, some of you may even be a bit disturbed - I am ecstatic. My little boy found his thumb a couple weeks ago. It's kinda cute though he's so sloppy and droolly about it. My favorite part is his ability to use his own hand to self-soothe. He's never been that great with a pacifier (which I don't really mind) and the thumb works so much better anyways. He can actually suck himself to sleep or hold off on needing to be fed. Life is looking up.

Now on to the good stuff. We got to go down to Monterrey for the weekend. A few of my cousins were visiting my aunt who lives on the coast in Cali and I decided to join them. We hung out in the cute little towns, walked on beautiful coastline, and visited an old mission. I enjoyed myself immensely.

Baby Sammy got to meet aunt Rosemary, Uncle Ed, Paul, Monica, Sara, Katie, and Adria all at the same time. He's getting to be a very well traveled, well known, and well loved little boy.

I need to discover a better way to take him on an airplane though. I have to carry so much junk along with me. I dirtied every last article of clothing I had along and Sammy only had one outfit left. I guess I could cut down on diapers, but I had to buy more there since I ran out. I had so much stuff when I walked down the aisle I banged every last traveller sitting along the way. Then the baby screamed bloody murder almost the entire trip (We got about 30 minutes of just casual fussiness while at cruising altitude thank god).

Any great ideas out there?
