He smiles
Charity was here this last week and we spent a day at the zoo with little Samuel. We bused our way down there and Sammy decided he didn't like the bus and screamed the whole way. I got my first experience being that parent with the fussy child, and I could do nothing about it. He was inconsolable. Of course as soon as we got to the zoo he calmed down and slept through just about all of the animals. I guess we'll just have to go back to show him all the lions, tigers, and monkeys. I enjoyed myself even if Sammy didn't notice we were out of the house.
I can't believe it's already been four weeks! The baby still sleeps most of the time, but each day he stays awake a little longer. Usually he's pretty good and just stares at us or his toys. He loves to look in the mirror. He already knows how good looking he is. He loves to be held and cuddled and walked. I just can't resist. I guess I'll just end up with a spoiled toddler who thinks he's entitled to anything.
We've had a few sleepless nights where he's just screamed for hours. But for the most part during the night he wakes up to eat and is just occasionally fussy when put back in his crib. I consider myself lucky. The other night he fed at nine and didn't wake up again till three! Too bad we didn't go to bed till midnight to enjoy our uninterrupted sleep. Hopefully he'll do it again.

Hi, Praise! What a sweet and cute baby! I don't think he'll get spoiled if you cuddle him a lot. My sister did that with her baby and ended up with a relatively well-behaved and happy toddler.
He is so adorable!!
I can't wait to come see him. It'll probably be the beginning of Aug now before I can come. Jerusalem is so stinkin cool. You would love it here.
Graduation is only four days away :'( I'm excited and sad at the same time...
